Haley Bennett in GQ Magazine

Photos of this set:

Haley Keeling was born in 1989 in Fort Myers, Florida, but she was raised in Naples, Florida and in Ohio. Though she began singing and dancing at the age of 10, Haley didn’t adopt the Bennett stage name until she decided to pursue a career in the entertainment business. She first caught the acting bug when she successfully auditioned for a school play, and she spent the next several years taking on roles in a number of local productions. As a high school student, Haley studied music and acting to further refine her skills.

Haley’s career took a giant leap forward in her mid-teens after a family vacation to Europe was canceled in favor of a trip to Beverly Hills. While she was there, Haley met a record producer who invited her to sing to a roomful of influential people.

In the summer of 2005, Haley convinced her mother that the time was right for a permanent move to Los Angeles. Shortly after the move, Haley auditioned for the role of a vapid pop star in the film Music & Lyrics, starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. Several callbacks later, Haley received the news that she had the part, which would lead to a three-film deal with Warner Bros. Pictures. The role of Cora Corman gave Haley the opportunity to meld her two passions, acting and singing, and enabled her to enlist the help of well-known producer (and former Paris Hilton paramour) Chris Contogouris to start recording her debut album.

Haley’s appearance in the February 2007 issue of GQ ensures that her profile will only increase, and there’s little doubt that the release of her album will transform her into a bona fide star.
